Florida-born North Carolinian Rich Willey (rhymes with “Billy”) cut his teeth in Philadelphia jazz clubs in the early 80’s
and started calling his bands Boptism in 1986. After finishing school, he worked in NYC before touring with Maynard Ferguson after 9/11/2001.
Rich and his wife Janet run Boptism Music. Rich is a freelance trumpeter, bass trumpeter and tuba player in beautiful Western NC.
